Thursday 26th November VALENCIA SHOPPING TRIP The bus leaves Benitachell Cemetery at 8.30am sharp
Sunday 13th December Carol Concert by the Costa Blanca Male Voice Choir. 7.00 for 7.30pm
Monday 14th December Christmas Party at the El Andaluz, Moraira. 7.30 for 8.00pm. €23 pp.
Tuesday 5th January Three Kings Dinner Dance. 7.00 for 7.30pm. €19 pp, €2 extra for guests.
QUIZ NIGHT – WEDNESDAY, 11 NOVEMBER 2009
Wednesday night saw a packed house of 69 people keen to exercise their brain cells. All seemed to enjoy the Quiz even though there were quite a number of furrowed brows at times.
Ged and Paula provided us with excellent “brain food” half way through the evening and the odd glass of wine added to the variety of answers given and the deterioration of the writing!
The eventual winners, who answered 86% of the questions correctly, were Dunne & Dumber (Frank & Lena Dunne, Wendy Symonds, Robin & Helen Baxter and Tony Lawley) who each won a bottle of spirits. There are now 63 more people in the world who know that the collective noun for a group of ladybirds is a “loveliness” and well done to Frank Dunne who provided his team with the answer.
The team who won the most coveted prize of the evening were Los Molinos (Malcolm & Patty Sprawson, Terry & Pauline Setford and Len & Ronnie Petty) who answered 56% of the questions to win the wooden spoons and each received a bottle of wine donated by Ged and Paula.
Well done to all the winners and to everyone who took part – hopefully you will have gone home knowing just a little bit more than when you arrived!!

CHRISTMAS FAYRE - SUNDAY, 22 NOVEMBER 2009 after Club Day
A number of stalls will be set up in the Clubhouse and Courtyard selling a range of products, i.e. Clothes, Jewellery, Kitchenware, Garden/Household Items, Christmas Decorations, Jams/Chutneys, Ceramics, Manicure Demonstration, and lots more.
Donations are required for the stalls being run by the Social Committee:
Cake & Candy (please let Irene Posket know of your intention to donate home bakes etc. for this stall)
Books, Jigsaws, CDs etc.
Tombola - donations of Bottles, Unwanted Gifts, etc. most welcome
Donations for the Cake & Candy stall should be brought along on the day but other donations can be given to any member of the Social Committee or placed in the boxes in the Clubhouse.
