All games shall be played under the Laws of the Game currently in force in Spain, subject to any variations hereunder, in particular Law 126.96.36.199.1.3 (ie 2-4-2 order of bowls) – note that according to this Law the player playing 4 bowls together on the first end will be deemed the skip and as such is responsible for the score card (Law 401.17)
Rinks on which play is to take place will be drawn .
All games will be 18 ends with one trial end in each direction - In games that are necessarily curtailed by the Controlling Body 14 ends completed shall constitute a game.
All games must be played on the scheduled or rearranged date.
Two points will be awarded for a win, one point for a draw. The final league winners will be determined by the highest total points, and if tied, by the highest shot difference, the result of any match played between contesting teams, and highest shot average in order as necessary.
No show or late arrival may, at the discretion of the Controlling Body, be penalised by awarding the game to the opposition with a score of 21 shots to 13.
If a team concedes more than two games as a result of “no show” or failure to present a team, then that team may be required to withdraw from the Competition, in which case any games previously played shall be expunged from the records.
Any side that fails to field a team may be liable to pay their own and their opponents match fee of 4€ per team.
All players must play a minimum of two games, which rule may be waived in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the Controlling Body
Teams must be mixed gender. Failure to adhere to this rule will result in a reduction of 25% in the shots scored by the offending team.
The Controlling Body, as appointed by Benitachell Bowls Club for the purposes of this competition, reserve the right to amend these rules as necessary. Their decisions will be final and binding.
